The Main Quest: Ethereum’s $50M Gaming Leap

Immutable, a prominent Ethereum gaming platform, unveiled a groundbreaking initiative on Thursday: The Main Quest. This rewards program is poised to redefine engagement within the blockchain gaming sphere, offering an astounding $50 million in token rewards. The program is designed to incentivize players for their activities on the newly introduced Immutable zkEVM network.

Described as the most ambitious crypto gaming rewards initiative to date, The Main Quest targets users of the Immutable zkEVM network. This layer-2 Ethereum gaming network, developed in collaboration with Polygon zkEVM technology, rewards players for various interactive behaviours. As participants engage with early releases and upcoming titles on the network, they accrue tokens.

Players can delve into a range of games, including the mobile role-playing game Guild of Guardians, the intense mech shooter MetalCore, the strategic action game Illuvium, the expansive outer space combat title Space Nation Online, and the MMORPG Treeverse. While some of these games are yet to be released, the platform plans to continually expand its offering with more games and additional incentives.

In addition to gaming, Immutable zkEVM users can also gain rewards through other channels such as using decentralized exchanges, contributing liquidity to trading pools, and trading Immutable NFTs. This comprehensive approach not only boosts player engagement but also enriches the overall ecosystem experience.

Robbie Ferguson, President and co-founder of Immutable, expressed his enthusiasm for the program, stating, “This is single-handedly the largest rewards program in Web3 gaming. The initiative is part of a strategic partnership with the Digital Worlds Foundation. It aims to significantly enhance the exploration of games within Immutable’s expansive ecosystem, which boasts over 270 titles currently under development. Players are encouraged to actively participate by completing quests, engaging with games, and managing NFT collections on Immutable.
