Telegram-based game Notcoin, in collaboration with Helika, an AI-powered analytics firm, has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative to nurture the next generation of Telegram games. Announced on Wednesday, the Telegram Gaming Accelerator aims to transform Notcoin from a viral sensation into a foundational component of the burgeoning ecosystem of crypto-backed mini apps.
Anton Umnov, Helika co-founder and CEO, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting the immense potential for game studios to tap into global user acquisition and deepen user engagement through the platform. The accelerator will focus on developing mini apps that operate within Telegram and leverage The Open Network, Telegram’s preferred blockchain network.
This initiative comes as Telegram games like Notcoin demonstrate a compelling model: captivating Telegram’s vast user base with simple gameplay mechanics and rewarding players with real crypto token airdrops.
Notcoin’s strategy proved immensely successful, with its NOT token reaching a $2 billion market cap shortly after its launch. Though it has since adjusted to a $1.3 billion market cap, the model’s influence has sparked a wave of similar projects.
The success stories extend to games like Hamster Kombat and Catizen, which have both seen explosive growth by employing a straightforward, addictive gameplay approach. These developments highlight the platform’s potential to host a variety of engaging, viral gaming experiences.
Sasha Plotvinov, Notcoin’s co-creator, has ambitious visions for the platform, aiming to make Notcoin the “Netflix of social, viral games” on Telegram. This new accelerator marks a significant step towards achieving that vision by providing a structured pathway for developers to create and scale engaging social crypto games within the Telegram ecosystem.
Helika’s involvement is particularly noteworthy given its track record with major industry players like Ubisoft and Yuga Labs, enhancing games with crypto integrations and marketing strategies. Following its successful $50 million venture capital-backed crypto gaming accelerator launched in March, Helika’s new project with Notcoin promises to enrich the gaming landscape on Telegram, separate from its prior initiatives.
This partnership could potentially redefine the parameters of gaming on Telegram, fostering an environment where creativity and crypto rewards flourish, attracting a broader audience to the innovative world of social gaming.
