A new fitness tracking app, StepMania, has officially launched on Telegram, offering users a way to turn their daily steps into digital rewards. The app integrates with Apple Health and Google Health Connect, making it easy for players to track their physical activity while earning in-game benefits.
Designed to gamify fitness, StepMania features leaderboards, squad challenges, and influencer-hosted tournaments, allowing users to compete and stay motivated.
The app shares similarities with Stepn, the move-to-earn pioneer built on Solana, but removes the NFT barrier to entry—meaning users can start earning without purchasing digital assets.
Digital Rewards and Future Token Plans
Currently, StepMania rewards players with in-game coins and raffle tickets. The tickets can be entered into drawings for real-world prizes, including:
- iPhone 16 Pro
- PlayStation 5
- Huawei wearable fitness tracker
- Telegram Premium subscription
- And more
However, a future crypto token is in the works. A StepMania representative confirmed that the game’s developers are committed to launching a token on The Open Network (TON)—in line with Telegram’s recent exclusivity agreement for blockchain-based apps.
Backed by The Open Platform (TOP)
StepMania is supported by The Open Platform (TOP), a key player in the TON blockchain ecosystem. The team plans to expand StepMania’s offerings by forming partnerships with:
- TON-based projects
- Brands and events
- Wearable fitness companies
These collaborations aim to enhance the app’s rewards system and introduce new incentives for users.
With its seamless integration into Telegram and a planned token launch, StepMania is positioning itself as a leading fitness gamification app, bridging the gap between physical activity and digital rewards in the growing move-to-earn space.
