Senspace Character Artist, Little Drip Releases“It’s Time To XX” and “SB-02 Little Drip Edition”

Senspace, a character collective based in Tokyo, has recently unveiled a unique project titled “It’s Time To XX,” a genre-defying mixtape from the character artist Little Drip. Established in 2022, Senspace is a dynamic and imaginative project that intertwines the real creative communities of Tokyo with a fictional universe.

This intriguing concept involves the creation of fictional characters, each linked to a real-world artist, representing their identity within the Senspace narrative. These characters serve as conduits for storytelling, the release of digital items, and various other creative endeavors.

Among these characters is Little Drip, crafted for the Tokyo-based singer-songwriter known as Lil’ Leise But Gold. Little Drip’s debut in the Senspace world is marked by the release of “It’s Time To XX,” a digital cassette that showcases a diverse range of musical influences. While Lil’ Leise But Gold is already celebrated as a vocalist, frequently featured on Japan’s top streaming playlists, this mixtape represents their foray into beat-making.

The mixtape, distributed by “Evergreen Echoes,” a fictional record label from the Senspace universe, defies conventional genre classification. It’s designed to be a versatile soundtrack for various activities, whether it’s background music for work, a companion for a sunny walk, or a beat to dance to. Little Drip encourages listeners to engage with the music in their own unique way.

“It’s Time To XX” is set to be released on December 14th at 9 PM JST (7 AM EST) and will be available at senspace.studio/shop in the form of a digital cassette. Access to the music is provided through Senspace’s custom music player, found at senspace.studio/player. This is contingent upon the purchase of a digital boombox character, either the “SB-02” or the “SB-02 Little Drip Edition.” The latter is a newly designed, custom-colored version of the SB-02 digital boombox, also going on sale on the same day.
