Robinhood launched its Trivia Live game on Wednesday, drawing nearly 400,000 participants eager to compete for $1 million in Bitcoin prizes. The event, designed as a fast-paced financial and crypto quiz, put players’ knowledge to the test through 12 multiple-choice questions, with only the sharpest contestants making it to the final round.
The game started with 392,600 players, but after a series of tough questions, only 1,210 remained in contention for the Bitcoin jackpot.
Crypto and Finance Knowledge Put to the Test
Hosted by former HQ Trivia star Scott Rogowsky, the game began with relatively simple questions about Tesla and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. However, the challenge quickly escalated.
By round three, more than 230,000 participants had been eliminated after failing to answer correctly. A particularly tricky question, which required identifying a stock ticker not included in the S&P 500 Index, wiped out an additional 130,000 players in a single round.
With only about 30,000 contestants left in round four, the game introduced cryptocurrency-related questions, testing players on:
- The meaning of “HODL”
- The total supply of Bitcoin
- The year Dogecoin was created
As the competition intensified, players had to rely on deep financial knowledge and quick decision-making to survive.
Final Round Sees 615 Winners Claim Bitcoin Prizes

By the time the 12th and final question arrived, only 1,210 contestants remained. The last hurdle asked them to identify the largest IPO of 2024 by deal size—a question that would ultimately determine the winners.
In the end, 615 players answered correctly, securing their share of the Bitcoin prize pool. Each winner received approximately $1,626.01 worth of Bitcoin (0.018 BTC).
Robinhood Gold Members Get an Exclusive Round
The success of the event has prompted Robinhood to run another round of Trivia Live on Thursday, March 7. This time, however, participation will be exclusive to Robinhood Gold members, the platform’s premium subscription service.
The next prize pool remains at $1 million in Bitcoin, but Robinhood has introduced an extra incentive—all participants, regardless of whether they win or lose, will receive an undisclosed amount of Dogecoin as a bonus reward.
Crypto Trivia: A New Engagement Strategy?
Robinhood’s Trivia Live appears to be a major success, blending education, entertainment, and financial incentives to engage its user base. By gamifying finance and crypto knowledge, the platform may be pioneering a new way to onboard users into the digital asset space.
With high participation numbers and substantial prizes, Robinhood could soon expand the format, possibly introducing regular trivia events or opening them up to a broader audience beyond Gold members.
For now, all eyes are on Thursday’s exclusive round, where another $1 million in Bitcoin will be up for grabs.
