Robert Kiyosaki Shifts from Gold to Bitcoin

Robert Kiyosaki, the best-selling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, has made a dramatic shift in his investment strategy, announcing that he is selling his gold and silver holdings to buy Bitcoin (BTC).

In a recent YouTube video to his 3.5 million subscribers, Kiyosaki explained why he sees Bitcoin as the superior asset, predicting that BTC could reach $250,000 by 2025.

“I’m switching as fast as I can out of gold and silver into Bitcoin. Because I think Bitcoin, in 2025, it will probably go to $250,000 a coin.”

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $102,011, according to market data.

U.S. Debt and the Case for Bitcoin

Kiyosaki cited America’s soaring national debt, currently at $36.2 trillion, as a key reason for Bitcoin’s long-term bullish outlook.

“The reason Bitcoin is doing so well is because of my generation or the generation before. America is now the biggest debtor nation in history. They’re printing $1 trillion every 90 days.”

Despite his longtime friendship with President Donald Trump, Kiyosaki criticized the lack of discussion around how the U.S. plans to address its unsustainable debt levels.

“As much as I like President Trump, who is a friend of mine, they don’t talk about it. They don’t talk about how they’re going to handle that debt.”

For years, Kiyosaki has advocated for holding precious metals as a hedge against inflation. However, he now believes Bitcoin offers greater upside potential, prompting his shift from gold and silver to digital assets.

The Shift to Digital Money

Kiyosaki believes the world is undergoing a historic transformation from “fake money” to digital assets—and he wants to be at the forefront.

“This is the biggest change in world history – the shift from fake money to crypto, the digital money. And I’m on it as hard as I can.”

With institutional adoption rising and global debt increasing, Kiyosaki’s Bitcoin endorsement adds to the growing narrative that BTC is emerging as a legitimate store of value—even for those who previously favored traditional safe-haven assets.

As 2025 approaches, all eyes will be on whether Kiyosaki’s $250,000 Bitcoin price prediction comes true.
