Eve Frontier Launches Founder Access Packs

CCP Games, the studio behind the iconic MMO Eve Online, has introduced Founder Access packs for its upcoming blockchain-powered space survival game, Eve Frontier.

The packs, priced between $30 and $90, offer players early access perks, exclusive content, and the opportunity to shape the game’s development during its Closed Alpha phase. Purchasers can join an “always-on server” starting December 10, allowing them to explore Eve Frontier’s dynamic, player-driven universe.

Early Access Perks

Founder Access is divided into three tiers, each offering unique rewards:

• Early Alpha Access: Players gain entry to the game’s Closed Alpha phase.
• Exclusive Content: Unique skins, a special “Founder” Discord role, and monthly developer streams.
• Post-Launch Benefits: Premium subscription playtime after the game opens to the public.

While the game will eventually adopt a free-to-play model, Founder Access allows players to participate in its development from the ground up.

Blockchain Integration

Eve Frontier is built on the Ethereum Layer-2 network Redstone, designed to support scalable, cost-efficient blockchain applications. The game will feature multiple crypto tokens, including the EVE utility token, which will play a key role in its in-game economy.

Known for its intricate player-driven universe in Eve Online, CCP Games is leveraging blockchain technology to create an equally ambitious ecosystem in Eve Frontier.

In March 2023, CCP Games raised $40 million in a funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz to develop the blockchain-based title.

Closed Alpha and NDA

Players who purchase Founder Access will enter Eve Frontier’s Closed Alpha on December 10. Participants must adhere to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), as specified in the game’s FAQ.

The NDA ensures that game content and features remain under wraps during this critical development phase while providing early adopters with an exclusive first look.
